All Prophets of God Are Muslims: From Adam to the Seal of the Prophets (Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Them All)
Introduction: The Universal Message of Islam
From the very beginning of human history, God sent Prophets to teach mankind how to worship Him and to guide people toward their true purpose. Starting with Adam and continuing through Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and finally, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon them all), every Messenger carried one universal message:
👉There is no deity worthy of worship except the One True God, known in Arabic as Allaah. In essence, Islam means submission—submission to the will of Allaah.
✅This article explores the remarkable continuity of this divine call and reaffirms that every Messenger, regardless of time and community, was a bearer of the true message of Islam.
The Prophetic Mission: One Message, One God
Prophets Sent by the One True God
God’s mission to guide humanity began with Prophet Adam, the first human. Through him—and every Prophet who followed—Allaah revealed that true worship is a matter of submitting entirely to His will. This message continued uninterrupted through history.
- Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them all): Each was sent to his respective people with the same core message: worship one true God. Although their communities and circumstances were different, all Prophets taught that true submission—Islam—is the pathway to salvation.
- The Final Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him): Prophet Muhammad represents the culmination of this prophetic mission. He consolidated the eternal message of oneness, guiding believers to recognize that the teachings of the previous Prophets all flow from the same divine source.
A Unified Faith Across Generations
Islam teaches that from Adam until Muhammad (peace be upon them all), every Prophet was a continuation of the same mission—revealing the One True God to different peoples across time.
👉This is why Muslims say, “We believe in the same God as Jews and Christians.”
The source of guidance for Moses and Jesus is identical to that for Muhammad (pbuh). Each Messenger was sent specifically to his own people, yet all preached the same message: recognize, worship, and submit solely to Allaah.
📖 Allah says in Qur’an;
“(64) Say, “O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you – that we will not worship except Allāh and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allāh. But if they turn away, then say, “Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him].”

Authentic Scriptural Testimony: The True Religion of Islam
The Essence of Islam: Submission to Allaah Alone
In the broadest sense, Islam means submitting to Allaah alone—worshiping Him according to His laws and living a life of obedience. Every person who sincerely believes in Allaah’s oneness and follows His eternal commandments is, by definition, a Muslim.
The Message of Prophet Noah
71“And recite to them the news of Nooh (Noah). When he said to his people: ‘O my people, if my stay (with you), and my reminding (you) of the Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allaah is hard on you, then I put my trust in Allaah. So devise your plot, you and your partners, and let not your plot be in doubt for you. Then pass your sentence on me and give me no respite.
72. ‘But if you turn away (from accepting my doctrine of Islamic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allaah), then no reward have I asked of you, my reward is only from Allaah, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims (i.e. those who submit to Allaah’s Will)’”
[Yoonus 10:71-72]
The Testimony of Prophet Abraham
(interpretation of the meaning):
“130. And who turns away from the religion of Ibraaheem (Abraham) (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) except him who befools himself? Truly, We chose him in this world and verily, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.
131. When his Lord said to him, ‘Submit (i.e. be a Muslim)!’ He said, ‘I have submitted myself (as a Muslim) to the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists).’
132. And this (submission to Allaah, Islam) was enjoined by Ibraaheem (Abraham) upon his sons and by Ya’qoob (Jacob) (saying), ‘O my sons! Allaah has chosen for you the (true) religion, then die not except in the Faith of Islam (as Muslims — Islamic Monotheism)’”
[al-Baqarah 2:130-132]
The Testimonies of Prophets Moses and Jesus
And He says of Moosa (interpretation of the meaning):
“And Moosa (Moses) said: ‘O my people! If you have believed in Allaah, then put your trust in Him if you are Muslims (those who submit to Allaah’s Will)’”
[Yoonus 10:84]
“And when I (Allaah) inspired Al-Hawariyyoon (the disciples) [of ‘Eesa (Jesus)] to believe in Me and My Messenger, they said: ‘We believe. And bear witness that we are Muslims.’”
[al-Maa’idah 5:111]
“…by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allaah’s Will …”
[al-Maa’idah 5:44]
“My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, and I submit [in Islam, together with Sulaymaan (Solomon)] to Allaah, the Lord of the ‘Aalameen.”
[al-Naml 27:44]
The essence of Islam lies in obedience to Allaah. Though the specific commands (such as the direction of prayer) have evolved—from facing the Rock in Jerusalem to facing the Ka’bah in Mecca—every practice falls under the unifying principle of submission. Each Prophet delivered a message tailored to his community, yet the underlying truth remained the same: worship and obey the One True God.
Embracing the True Faith: A Call to Reflection
Praise be to Allaah. As Muslims, we affirm that true success in the sight of Allaah lies in worshiping Him alone. On the Day of Judgment, those who have embraced the genuine teachings of Islam will be rewarded with eternal paradise—a life of bliss and fulfillment. Conversely, those who stray from the true path will face eternal loss and punishment.
Before our time in this world comes to an end, it is imperative for every believer to reflect, investigate, and ensure that they are not following a misguided path. This is why we, as Muslims, proudly declare: “We believe in the same God as Jews and Christians.” The source of guidance for Moses and Jesus is the same divine origin that enlightened Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them all).
A Personal Invitation to Learn and Engage
The key to achieving success on the Day of Judgment is to understand and embrace the true message of Islam. This means not blindly following any faith but making a conscious effort to investigate, ask questions, and sincerely submit to the will of Allaah.
🌏 “Do you believe in the teachings outlined above? Does this message of unity and submission resonate with you? If you have any questions or require further clarification about Islam or its true teachings, please feel free to ask.”
